Responsive of our continued commitment to Be You, the national mental health in education initiative, and the mental health and wellbeing of our learning communities, our Be You Organisational Leaders and Action Team Leaders attended their first Be You meeting for the year this month.
In this meeting we explored the Be You “Mentally Healthy Communities: Understand” Module, and reflected on “Serve and Return” research to deepen our understandings of mental health, risk and protective factors and attachment theories. Contextual to the needs of our services, our table discussions supported our Action Team Leaders to reflect on, consider and plan for their mentally healthy learning communities.
Our Pedagogical Mentors continued to build on the mentoring skills and knowledge of our Be You Action Team Leaders, focusing on the development of critical reflection questions that elicit robust reflective discussions in response to research. This was supported by our Be You consultant who joined us remotely to provide a follow up session on Active Implementation – creating a plan for effective implementation.
