Welcome to Stepping Stone Hove Childcare & Early Development Centre, my name is Sharon Kennerdale. I would like to take this opportunity to share a little information about myself.
I have over 20 years’ experience working in childcare. I have been involved in the management of Early Years settings since April 1997, in the UK. This, together with my personal life as a wife and parent of three children and now a grandparent too, has enhanced my belief in making a positive difference in the lives of children and families.
I moved to Adelaide South Australia with my family in July 2007 and started employment with Stepping Stone (SA) within two weeks of arriving in the country. I look forward to sharing the knowledge and experience I have gained over the past years, with the children, parents and staff.
This Centre takes pride offering a safe, warm, stimulating and welcoming environment where children are encouraged to have fun, explore, take initiatives and are involved in making decisions about their own learning.
Our Centres are unique to South Australia and our Management is determined to fulfil its obligation as a high quality service in Early Childhood. The Centre promotes and evaluates the holistic development of children using our services. I consider it a privilege to manage a team of educators who share my passion in building and developing partnerships with our families.
In choosing this Centre, you entrust your child to us and therefore have a right to know about and to influence the kind of care that your child receives. We would like to encourage families to ask questions and raise concerns about the centre’s practices with staff and/or management.
